About us
Jane & I would like to offer you a warm welcome to Mingulay House. We bought Mingulay in 2006 and spent 3 years converting the loft area and refurbishing the downstairs. We have 3 bedrooms all en suite and a guest snug area with fabulous views of the mountains and forest.
The majority of the work has been carried out by us with the help of our family & friends including John the plumber and Davie the Electrician.
I am originally from Street in Somerset and have lived in Scotland for last 13 years. Jane was born and bred in Scotland and was a Campbell before she became Mrs White (very apt now that we live next to Glencoe!). We married in Connel and celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary last year.
Jane is a Nurse & I am a Joiner. We moved to the area in 2000, mainly for Jane, as she was employed to develop a nurse practitioner service in A /E in Oban hospital. I gave up my job as a joiner early in 2010 to concentrate on finishing the conversion ready for opening in the July of that year. 2013 will be our third full season.
We love working with people and have been very excited to learn about and develop our business. We are very keen to ensure your stay is as relaxing and comfortable as possible and we encourage feedback so that we can make certain that we get it right.
